The Ross Town Carnival has been an annual event for many years now. It takes place on the first Saturday in August, It is the biggest Free Family Event of it's kind in the county and in good weather attracts 4000+ people to both the procession and the Carnival field. The Ross-on-Wye & District Community Association run a series of activities at the Larruperz Centre ranging from Yoga and Karate to Line Dancing and Junior Discos. You can find full details on their web site at www.larruperz.org.uk.

Newent Onion Fayre
8th September 2007 - One of the largest annual festivals in the area attracting up to 12000 visitors. The streets of Newent are closed to traffic as the town hosts the annual celebration of the 'Onion'. If you want to see onions, eat them raw, buy them or talk about them you won't be dissappointed. But that's not all it's about, there are street entertainers, fair ground rides, crafts, food stalls and a real ale festival. There really will be something for everyone.
