Congratulations to Martin Stockley and the whole Festival team for a fantastic Festival.
This was a really varied programme of activities which enriched the lives of everyone who
attended. Most events were sold out, so appologies if you were unable to get tickets.
There will not be another Speen Festival until 2003 at least.

Recent updates include the Festival section (mentioned below), more entries in the Services
section, including village skiing expert and his "purple ski site" - well worth a visit, and a plea for a 4 bed detached

Welcome to the 21st century and the third Millennium. There was one of Keith's fabulous
firework displays on the playing fields last night to mark the start of the 'real' new
Millennium. The new Speen Marquee was also erected to provide a shelter for those attending.
Perhaps this can become a local tradition for parties on the field every year.

There was the grand unveiling of Speen's new sign on Saturday 16th December 2000. The
sign, designed by Peter Symonds, which first made it's appearance in his delightfully
illustrated map of Speen, (a few signed and numbered prints of the map are still available,
order here) was made at Gomms Forge. All the work was done locally and it is set in a
plinth of Denner Stone. The plinth contains a copy of the electoral roll in the year 2000
and other artefacts. See Photos.
