Philip Godfrey Mosse was a Lance Corporal in the 13th Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He was killed on Tuesday 18th April 1916. Philip was the son of Herbert R. Mosse MD and Katherine Mosse of Roffey House, Horsham, Sussex. His parents had the alter rail put into the church with the names of their sons on it. Philip's name can be found on the Basra Memorial in Iraq The memorial can be found 32 km along the road to Nasiriyah in the middle of what was a major battleground during the Gulf War. It contains the names of more than 40, 000 British, Indian and West Africans who died in the operations in Mesopotamia from the Autumn of 1914 to the end of August 1921.
Maurice Alfred Pavey was Clerk 1st Class 166342 in the 8th Cadet Wing of the Royal Air Force. He died on Wednesday 9th October 1918 aged 30. His grave can be found in St Margaret's Churchyard, Ifield Maurice was the son of Mrs M. A Pavey.
Donald Leslie Lucas was a BOY in the Boys' Training Wing (Cranwell) in the Royal Air Force. He died on Saturday 17th August 1918 aged 18. He was the son of Maurice William Lucas and Mary Lucas who lived at Park View in Ifield. Donald has a grave in the churchyard of St Margaret's, Ifield.
