Keltek Trust activities for 2007

 

20th December 2007:  A redundant bell from Christ Church, Sparkbrook, Birmingham is to be installed for chiming at St Mary’s RC church, Morecambe, Lancashire.

19th December 2007:  The former ring of six bells from Woodlesford, Yorkshire has been acquired by the Trust and put on offer to Kirkby Overblow, Yorkshire.

 

16th November 2007:  An ambitious scheme to make good a lost ring of 6 bells at Avington, Hampshire is being considered. If a faculty is granted a ring of three bells will be installed with provision for future augmentation.

 

24th September 2007: In co-operation with the Scottish Association of Change Ringers, we have acquired the chime of 10 bells from St George’s North, Greenock and the 12 from Mount Zion Church, Quarriers Village. It is hoped that many of these bells will be installed as new ringing peals of bells in Scotland.  SACR website for more details.

 

21st September 2007: A bell from Holy Trinity, Formby is to replace the poor sounding second bell at Upton Magna, Shropshire.

 

27th 27th August 2007: A second-hand bell to be used to augment the ring of two to three at Elmsett, Suffolk.

 

20th August 2007: A small bell sold to a bell-hanger.

 

27th July 2007: It is anticipated that the modern Taylor chime of three bells from the redundant church of St Bartholomew, Ewood Park, Blackburn will be installed for ringing at North Rigton, North Yorkshire.

 

26th July 2007: The Trust is arranging for a bell to be cast in memory of Sir John Smith, founder of the Manifold Trust and the Landmark Trust. It will be donated to Stanion, Northamptonshire.

 

24th July 2007: Another second-hand bell acquired for the Clapham, North Yorkshire bell augmentation project.

 

20th June 2007: A second-hand bell used to augment Stawley from five to six.

 

19th June 2007: The “old” 8th bell from Charminster is to be used in an Australian project.

 

12th June 2007: A small bell to be installed for chiming at Dendron, South Africa.

 

11th June 2007: A small bell to be installed as part of a clock chime in Wantage.

 

23rd May 2007: The parish of Nafferton, E. Yorkshire have paid a deposit to acquire a surplus ring of six bells.

 

7th May 2007: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell to be used in the proposed restoration and augmentation at Hannington, Hampshire.

 

2nd April 2007: The treble of three from Rufforth, Yorkshire to be used as a clock chime bell at Eastbach Court, English Bicknor.

 

25th March 2007: Subject to survey, faculty etc. two surplus bells to become the 3rd and 4th of the proposed augmentation to six at Otham, Kent.

 

24th March 2007: The judgement of the Consistory Court is in favour of the parish of Horton, Gloucestershire restoring their ring of bells.

 

11th March 2007: A small bell from a redundant Martin Luther church in Bournmouth is to be installed at the Martin Luther church in Windhoek, Namibia.

 

17th February 2007: As announced on page 161 in the Feb. 16th issue of the Ringing World our 10th anniversary project is the installation of a light ring of bells at St Stephen’s, Lansdown, Bath. It is hoped that the close links between St Stephen’s and two nearby schools will be used to train new recruits into the art of bell-ringing. We hope a bell will be cast in memory of Robin Stubbs, tower captain of Bathwick until his untimely death. Donations may be sent to us for his memorial bell.

 

19th January 2007: A disused school bell cast by Carr of Smethwick to be installed for chiming at St Mary, Coity.

 

18th January 2007: Our last ex-Trinity House bell and an ex-Swindon bell to become the 5th and tenor of a new ring of six bells subject to faculty approval etc. See the Feb 17th announcement for more details.

14th December 2006: A small redundant bell from Aldwick to be installed at Holy Cross, Coventry for chiming.

 

10th December 2006: The ex-Kettering 5th bell is to become the 2nd of the proposed augmentation to six at Kirkby Overblow, Yorkshire.

 

7th December 2006: The ex-Kettering 6th bell is to be installed for chiming in an Irish church.

 

6th December 2006: One of the pre-millennium ring of bells at Chilcompton is to be installed at Manor Farm, Wantage as a clock hour bell.

 

23rd November 2006: The larger of the two ex-Perry Hill bells is to be installed at St Paul, Canonbury, Islington as a clock chime bell.

 

15th November 2006: Subject to faculty approval a modern surplus bell to become the treble of six at Orton-on-the-Hill.

 

7th November 2006: A modern surplus bell to become the treble of four at Fourways Gardens, Johannesburg.

 

3rd November 2006: Another ring of bells for Australia: The parish of St Luke, Mosman Park, Perth, Western Australia are to acquire the pre-2006 ring of bells from St Minver, Cornwall. The tower has yet to be designed and built.

 

3rd November 2006: Two bells which will be removed from Rufforth when the new six is installed in 2007 are to become the trebles of six at Otterham, Cornwall.

 

1st November 2006: The ring of five at Lynsted, Kent are to be augmented to six using the smallest of the two bells from the now demolished church of St George, Perry Hill, London.

 

12th September 2006: The pre-2006 ring of eight from All Saints, Northampton might be hung for ringing overseas.

 

6th August 2006: A small bell to be installed in a bell-cote at Redenhall, Norfolk.

 

19th June 2006: The Trust has offered to donate a surplus bell from Reading, St Barnabas to St Swithun, Wellow, Nottinghamshire where it will become the treble of a ring of five.

 

13th June 2006: The Trust has acquired the two treble bells of the former East Acton chime that are currently hung at West Heidelburg, WA. They are to be replaced by heavier bells and the former 2nd bell is to become the treble of the proposed ring of eight at Balmain, NSW. The former treble bell will be used as a single chiming bell at Balmain.

 

12th June 2006: The ring of three bells at Rufforth, N. Yorkshire are likely to be replaced by the front four of the ex-Cradley Heath chime (Taylor’s 1939) and two trebles added to create a ring of six.

 

26th May 2006: The ex-Kettering third is to become the second of six at Thurgarton, Nottinghamshire.

 

26th May 2006: The ex-Kettering fourth is to become the treble of six at Sibson, Leicestershire.

 

26th May 2006: Three of the pre-millennium ring from Chilcompton are to be used as part of the restoration and augmention scheme at East Rudham, Norfolk.

 

25th May 2006: The ring of eight bells from Denholme, W. Yorkshire have been removed and are to be installed at Brompton, N. Yorkshire.

 

24th May 2006: The ring of eight steel bells at St Mary’s, Moseley, Birmingham are likely to be replaced by a bronze ring based on the back four of the ex-Cradley Heath chime (Taylor’s 1939).

 

22nd April 2006: The Trust is donating a second-hand bell to Clapham, North Yorkshire where it should become the third of the proposed augmentation from three to six bells.

 

17th March 2006: The augmentation project at Tilton-on-the-Hill has been abandoned and the ex-Hampstead bell allocated to the project is now available for re-use elsewhere.

 

24th February 2006: The ex-Abingdon 7th is to be hung for chiming at Falmouth parish church and the existing chime of eight bells are to be hung for full circle ringing.

 

23rd February 2006: Two ex-Cuddington bells and the ex-All Saints, Alton tenor bell are to be installed at Ennis Cathedral, Ireland as chiming bells.

 

20th January 2006: The minor ring of three bells at Otterham, Cornwall is to be restored and augmented. A tenor bell has been located to convert the ring to major scale.

 

4th January 2006: A surplus bell from Coleorton to replace the cracked 5th bell at Deerhurst, Gloucestershire.

 

 

 

Keltek Trust activities for 2005

 

8th December 2005: A former mill bell acquired at auction by the Trust is to replace the cracked tenor at Much Cowarne as part of the bell restoration scheme.

 

7th December 2005: The bell which was going to be used to augment the ring of four at Llandrillo y Edeyrnion is now going to be installed in a cemetery chapel in Perth, WA, Australia.

 

27th November 2005: Subject to faculty the parish of Horton, Gloucestershire hope to restore their long derelict ring of five bells and augment to six. The cracked tenor is to be replaced by a bell supplied by the Trust.

 

17th November 2005: Harrington, Lincolnshire are to augment their ring of three to five bells. The project will involve replacing two existing bells with modern bells and adding two trebles.

 

26th October 2005: A bell to be hung for chiming at English Bicknor as part of the scheme to restore the ring of bells.

 

15th October 2005: South Africa is likely to have another ring of bells installed. A deposit has been paid by the authorities to acquire the front six bells from St Helen’s, Abingdon for installation at the Cathedral church of St Cyprian, Kimberley.

 

16th September 2005: The Trust has acquired three ex-Pitsea clock tower bells. The smallest bell to be hung for chiming at Shore school chapel, Sydney, NSW.

 

10th September 2005: A small bell to be installed in Botswana for chiming.

 

4th September 2005: A surplus bell to be hung for chiming at All Saints, Queen’s Park, Bedford.

 

13th August 2005: The Trust is donating a bell to Waresley, Cambridgeshire to augment the ring of three to four.

 

19th July 2005: A bell cast by Sheridan of Dublin and acquired from The Sisters of Mercy at Rock Ferry is to be installed at St John’s Cathedral, Limerick as a service bell.

 

5th July 2005: A small surplus bell cast by an unknown founder sold to a bell-hanger.

 

10th June 2005: The ex-Kettering 7th bell is to replace the cracked 2nd at Collingbourne Kingston.

 

8th June 2005: The project to augment the ring of four at Llandrillo yn Edeyrnion has been abandoned and the bell acquired for augmentation sold to a bell-hanger.

 

26th April 2005: The largest of the three ex-New Shildon chime is to replace the cracked 5th bell at Sandford Orcas, Dorset.

 

11th April 2005: A surplus bell cast by an unknown founder sold to a bell-hanger for  installation in Finland.

 

17th March 2005: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell bought for stock by a bellhanger to be installed for chiming at Christ Church, Bangkok, Thailand.

 

14th March 2005: A surplus bell to augment the ring of four to five at Brompton Ralph, Somerset.

 

2nd March 2005: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell to be installed for chiming at St Silas, Kentish Town.

 

1st March 2005: A small bell to be installed for chiming at Renishaw School, nr. Sheffield.

 

5th February 2005: The heavy ring of five at Bredon, Worcestershire are to be augmented to six by the addition of a surplus bell from Huntsham, Devon.

 

23rd January 2005: The ring of five at Llanbedr Ystrad Yw is to be augmented by a second-hand bell from Sussex.

 

2nd January 2005: A 19” diameter bell sold for private use.

 

2nd January 2005: A modern Taylor bell is being acquired to become the treble at Bolton-by-Bowland, Lancashire. Another bell will be required to complete the proposed augmentation from a ring of four to six.

 

1st January 2005: Another of the ex-Wokingham All Saints bells is to be re-used in Yorkshire. The old 6th bell is to become the third of four at Kirkby Overblow.

 

 

Keltek Trust activities for 2004

 

12th December 2004: Fundraising at St Paul’s church, Birmingham (The Jeweller‘s Church)  has progressed well, and whilst there is still much to do the project team has established that they will be casting an entire ring of 10. Consequently the ex-Cradley Heath chime is now being offered elsewhere in the West Midlands area.

 

14th November 2004: Two bells acquired by a bell-hanger for a possible augmentation project in Hampshire.

 

12th November 2004: A 3 cwt bell to replace a cracked bell at Kelsall, Cheshire.

 

8th November 2004: A surplus bell to be installed for chiming at Romford library.

 

8th November 2004: A small bell to be used as a ringing demonstration bell.

 

6th November 2004: The recently restored ring at Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire is to be augmented to six by the addition of two second-hand bells.

 

5th November 2004: A small surplus bell to be installed in an empty bell cote for a church to house conversion at Brobury, Herefordshire.

 

2nd November 2004: A surplus bell to replace a cracked chiming bell at Deepcar, South Yorkshire.

 

30th October 2004: A surplus bell to be installed for chiming at St John’s College, York.

 

20th September 2004: A surplus bell to be used as part of the augmentation from 10 to 12 at Goulburn Cathedral, NSW, Australia.

 

14th September 2004: A year after locating a bell to augment to a ring of five, the parish of Tilton-on-the-Hill are to acquire one of the three bells from Christ Church, Hampstead to augment to a ring of six. 17th March 2006: The scheme has been cancelled and the ex-Hampstead bell put back on the bells available lists.

 

16th August 2004: The Trust is to donate a surplus bell from Marden Ash to North Scarle, Lincolnshire where it is expected to become the 2nd of the proposed restoration and augmentation to six.

 

8th August 2004: A small bell cast by Westcot of Bristol to be installed for chiming at St David, Ely, Cardiff.

 

25th July 2004: The Trust has acquired the modern Taylor eight-bell chime from Grainger’s Lane Methodist Church, Cradley Heath and it is hoped they will form the basis of a new ring of ten bells at St Paul’s church, Hockley, Birmingham (The Jeweller‘s Church). Stop Press Dec 2004. Sufficient funds have been promised to cast ten new bells so the ex-Cradley Heath chime is now being offered elsewhere in the West Midlands area.

 

2nd July 2004: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell and the 4th of the pre-2003 ring at Kidderminster are to augment the chime of three to five at West Wittering, Sussex.

 

29th June 2004: The two surplus trebles from All Saints, Wokingham have been  acquired for the proposed project to augment Hampsthwaite, North Yorkshire from a ring of three to six.

 

20th June 2004: A redundant bell from All Saints, Grays, Essex to be installed (subject to faculty) for chiming at Downhead, Somerset.

 

19th June 2004: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell acquired by an individual.

 

18th June 2004: A bell ex-Mawnan is being acquired to become the treble of the proposed augmentation to five at Great Catworth, Cambridgeshire.

 

1st May 2004: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell to become the treble (of five) of the proposed augmentation and remodelling of the ring of three at Scraptoft, Leicestershire.

 

30th April 2004: The pre-2004 ring at Kettering has been removed. The two trebles are on offer to Church Knowle, Dorset as part of the proposed project to restore and augment the ring of three to six. Bells 3-7 are being acquired by Attleborough, Norfolk as part of a proposed project to replace most of the original ring with a lighter ring of bells. 15th July 2004: The Attleborough scheme has been cancelled because of urgent repair work to the tower buttresses.

 

3rd April 2004: A bell formerly hung at Our Lady of Canvey, Canvey Island to become the 3rd of the proposed ring of eight at St Augustine (RC), Balmain, Sydney, NSW. This is the third bell we have located for the project.

 

1st April 2004: A bell formerly hung at Countess Wear, Exeter to be hung for chiming at High Kelling, Norfolk.

 

24th March 2004: The ex-Kettering eighth to replace the underweight 7th at Coleorton, Leicestershire.

 

16th March 2004: The St Levan restoration and augmentation project has been cancelled. Bells allocated to the project have been put back on the available bells list.

 

8th March 2004: Three surplus bells, two ex-Mawnan and one ex-Whetstone to be installed for chiming in Pretoria, South Africa.

 

4th February 2004: A small bell from Aldershot to be installed for chiming at Holmstead Manor, Sussex.

 

30th January 2004: A bell from the now demolished Roundway Hospital Chapel, Devizes to be the 5th of  the proposed ring of six at Queanbeyan, ACT. The tenor is to be an ex-Trinity House buoy bell acquired by ANZAB.

 

27th January 2004: The front six of the pre-2004 Writtle, Essex ring are being tuned to become the back six of a ring of eight for Seattle, USA. Two bells are to be cast to complete the octave.

30th November 2003: The service of dedication took place for the restoration and augmentation of the ring of 4 to 6 at Middleton, North Yorkshire. The Keltek Trust provided the additional two bells and donated one of them.

 

26th November 2003: A bell acquired on Ebay to become the treble and a surplus bell to become the second  of the proposed augmentation to six at Beckbury, Shropshire.

 

3rd November 2003: A small surplus bell to be installed for chiming at Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

9th October 2003: Subject to faculty a surplus bell from Childrey to become the 2nd of the proposed augmentation to six at St Levan, Cornwall.

 

4th September 2003: The project to restore the unringable three and augment to six at Stratton-on-the-Fosse has been cancelled. Bells allocated to the project are now back on the bells available list.

 

10th August 2003: A surplus bell to become the treble of a proposed augmentation of a Dorset ring of 3 to 6.

 

7th August 2003: A bell acquired on Ebay to become the 3rd  of the proposed augmentation to six at Beckbury, Shropshire.

 

6th August 2003: A small surplus bell in private ownership to be hung for chiming at St Andrew’s church, Mickfield, Suffolk.

 

5th August 2003: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell to be installed for chiming at Framlingham, Suffolk RC church.

 

20th July 2003: The back four of the Liverpool, Highfield St chime are to be used as part of a proposed augmentation project of a three to a six at Wickersley, S. Yorkshire.

 

11th July 2003: The Trust is donating a surplus Gillett & Johnston bell from Newhaven, Sussex to the Whitmore, Staffordshire restoration project where it is to become the 2nd of the proposed augmentation from three to five.

 

5th July 2003: The two ex-Kidderminster Gillett & Johnston trebles are on offer to Ludlow as part of a proposed augmentation project to 12.

 

8th June 2003: Another ring of bells for Australia. A Trinity House buoy bell acquired during 2002 by ANZAB is to be the 2nd of a ring of proposed ring of six Orange, NSW. Individual surplus bells from Scarborough (treble), Kent (4th), Wokingham (5th) and Kidderminster (tenor) are to be include in the ring.

 

30th April 2003: A small Gillett & Johnston bell to be installed for chiming at St John’s, Ranmoor, Sheffield.

 

15th April 2003: Hunslet church has recently been found to have serious structural problems. The scheme to install the back four of the ex-Highfield St, Liverpool chime as part of a lighter ring of bells has been cancelled.

 

14th April 2003: It is anticipated that a surplus bell from Elmsett, Suffolk will be used to augment the ring of five at Bacton, Norfolk to six.

 

11th April 2003: The pre-2002 Whetstone 4th bell to augment a Leicestershire ring of four to five.

 

25th March 2003: The old 7th from Kidderminster to be acquired for a potential ANZAB bell installation project (see 8th June 2003 announcement).

 

16th March 2003: An ex-Trinity House buoy bell to become the treble of six at Scarrington, Nottinghamshire.

4th February 2002: A ring of eight bells is to be installed in one of Australia’s oldest churches. St James, Sydney is to install the ring using one of the ex-St Paul’s, Bristol bells as the tenor.

15th January 2002: Two bells, one ex-New Shildon and the other ex-Llandybie quarry to become the treble and second of the proposed augmentation from 3 to 6 at Potterhanworth, Lincolnshire.

 

8th January 2002: A ships bell to be used for a font at West Huntspill, Somerset.

December 2001: A small chiming bell to be installed at the Myddelton Retreat, Ilkley, Yorkshire.

 

26th November 2001: A small bell from Cannock to be hung as a school calling bell near Drybrook, Gloucestershire.

 

9th November 2001: A bell from a redundant church in Co. Durham to be installed at Caunton, Nottinghamshire to augment the ring to five. In 1997 the Trust located a bell which allowed Caunton to augment to four.

 

5th November 2001: Subject to formal PCC approval, a modern Taylor bell acquired by the Trust is to become the tenor of an augmentation from 2 to 3 bells at Thoroton, Nottinghamshire.

 

3rd November 2001: With funding for the repairs to the tower at St Nicholas, Deptford in place, the parish have indicated that they would like to install the ex-Homerton ring. Deptford appears on the “lost rings” list as 6 of its ring of eight were removed in 1955.

 

29th October 2001: A small surplus bell ex-Countess Wear, Exeter sold to a bell-hanger for re-use at Croyde, Devon.

 

27th October 2001: Another bell acquired for the Egloskerry project to enable the ring of two to be augmented to four.

 

27th October 2001: Four bells acquired for the proposed new ring of six at Menangle, NSW, Australia. They are the treble, 4th, 5th (ex-Albrighton

) and tenor (ex-Rode Hill, Somerset).


23rd September 2001: A light ring of six bells to be installed at Stanton-in-Peak, Derbyshire replacing a heavier ring. The new bells will be based on the front four of the Liverpool, Highfield St chime.

 

3rd September 2001: A 1982 Whitechapel bell to become the treble of a new ring of six bells at Prestatyn parish church.

 

18th August 2001: A small bell from Gowerton, Swansea to be installed in a former church building in the Isle-of-Man.

 

29th July 2001: Three small bells (two ex-Hannington’s department store, Brighton and one ex-Salford) acquired by an individual for a potential new light ring of bells with a 2cwt tenor in Shropshire.

 

13th July 2001: It is reported that the Charleston (Cathedral) bells have been rung for the first time.

 

12th July 2001: A small bell from Sunderland to be hung for chiming in the Philippines, also a small bell is to be used as a ringing demonstration bell at Bradford-on-Avon, Wilts.

 

9th July 2001: Two surplus Simpson tuned bells re-tuned to become the treble and second of the proposed augmentation to six at Colton, Staffordshire. Ring of six dedicated on  9th September 2001 by the Bishop of Lichfield.

 

8th July 2001: A new ring of bells for Lincolnshire. Subject to faculty it is hoped that a “transferred” ring of bells will be installed at Hackthorn.

 

12th June 2001: The augmented ring at Dowlish Wake, Somerset dedicated.

13th April 2001: The Trust achieves 150 bells relocated. The destination of the 150th bell is Tealby, Lincolnshire where it will become the second  of the proposed augmentation to six.

 

5th April 2001: A second bell found for Gringley-on-the-Hill, Notts. to augment from a ring of four to six.

 

26th March 2001: A surplus bell from Plymouth, St Andrew is to be used to augment the ring of bells at Badsworth, west Yorkshire to a ring of five.

 

14th March 2001: The augmentation of Dowlish Wake to a ring of six completed using a surplus bell from Southampton.

 

2nd February 2001: The surplus five-bell frame from Steeple Langford acquired for a potential project in the Vale of the White Horse. Hopefully another unringable to be restored!

 

17th January 2001: The surplus tenor bell at Coggeshall is to be acquired for an “arts” project in Stromness, Orkney subject to planning permission being granted.

24th November 2000: A ring of six bells acquired for the Lismore, NSW project.

 

30th October 2000: The Trust acquires a ring of six bells formerly hung at St Paul’s, Homerton, London.

 

25th October 2000: A clock bell from Hutton Gate Farm, Guisborough, Yorkshire is to be used to augment the ring of five at All Saints, Norwich to a ring of six. Link to the UEA Society web site for more details of this project.

 

October 2000: Six good condition second-hand bell wheels re-located for a potential restoration project in the Merseyside area.

 

7th September 2000: A surplus modern bell to become the treble of six at the proposed restoration and augmentation of the unringable ring of four at Rolleston, Nottinghamshire.

 

5th September 2000: A 3 cwt bell acquired by Rev. Peter Newing for possible use in a Gloucestershire restoration project. Bell now resold to be treble of a ring of four at Morley, Derbyshire.

6th August 2000: An Evans bell weighing about 11cwt is to be installed as a clock hour bell at Crondall, Hampshire.

 

28th July 2000: A small surplus bell from County Clare, Ireland to be hung in a bell cote at St Joseph’s, Cheadle, Staffordshire as part of the restoration of the former convent.

 

16th July 2000: The augmented rings at Barnburgh and Langley Burrell are dedicated.

 

15th July 2000: Second-hand headstocks acquired by the  Merseyside Bell Restoration Group for a Liverpool, area project.

 

11th June 2000: The Merseyside Bell Restoration Group acquire a surplus bell which will be slightly re-tuned to become the treble of the proposed ring of six at Speke, Liverpool.

 

5th June 2000: A surplus bell located which will become the 3rd of the octave at Lismore, NSW, Australia. Latest information 25th November 2000: The bell is no longer being used in the Lismore project as a ring of six bells has been acquired by the Trust for the project.

 

20th May 2000: Barnburgh, South Yorkshire augmentation project completed. The minor-three have been augmented by the addition of a treble and tenor; the latter being donated by the Trust.

 

26th April 2000: A small chiming bell dated 1791 is to be installed at Rottnest Island, Perth, WA as part of the restoration of one of the oldest buildings in WA – “Rotto’s” prison settlement.

 

21st April 2000: The ex-Rode Hill, Somerset bell which was acquired by the Trust and weld-repaired is to become the tenor of a new ring at Lismore, NSW, Australia. Latest information 25th November 2000: The bell is no longer being used in the Lismore project as a ring of six bells has been acquired by the Trust for the project.

 

28th March 2000: Tealby to acquire a modern Gillett & Johnston bell to use as the treble of the proposed augmentation from 4 to 6. The 5 cwt bell was upturned and used as a flower pot for most of the last decade!

 

17th March 2000: Surplus Thomas Gardener bell (cast 1757) from Coggeshall to become a clock bell at Coity.

 

15th March 2000: Buscot are the first church to install a second-hand bell-frame acquired by the Trust and the third church to install a bell acquired by the Trust’s Bell Rescue Fund.

 

3rd March 2000: Farleigh Hungerford are the second church to install a bell acquired by the Trust’s Bell Rescue Fund. The ring of five bells were tried out on 3rd March.

 

3rd March 2000: Surplus bell located for Hessle, East Yorkshire augmentation project (from six to eight bells). This is the 125th bell we have helped to re-locate.

 

2nd March 2000: Pittsburgh, PA project added to our web site.

 

1st March 2000: Langley Burrell augmentation work completed from 4 to 6 bells; they are the first church to install a bell acquired by the Trust’s Bell Rescue Fund.
