The Trust located a second-hand bell during 2002 which has been used to augment the ring of five to six. The bell was acquired from a marine artefacts dealer in Devon.

The parish are raising funds to repair the bell-frame and the Trust has offered a tenor bell which when hung will give a ring of four in the major key. The photograph to the right shows the "new" tenor bell in the bell-hangers workshop.
We hope to supply two bells currently hung at Rufforth, Yorkshire which should become the trebles of six at Otterham.

The chime of eight bells are to be re-hung for traditional full-circle ringing. The Trust has supplied a bell which will be used for chiming in place of the existing tenor bell. This bell was the 7th of the pre-2006 ring at Abingdon.
