A four-row concentric with filigree
and filigrana spokes on a green ground. The central cane is mainly blue-white
and this is contrasted by a spaced row of eight small pink-orange canes. The
second row has eight large complex canes in dark pink and white. Within the
inner ends of the spokes are eight large green-red canes which have further
short spokes radiating from them to the edge. The structure of all the spokes
provides for eight pairs of green-white and blue-white canes at the outer
edge.
The canes at the edge are not
clearly seen directly from the top view since the dome, as seen in the section
on Colours and Profiles, is of a flattened shape. Further unusual features (for
a paperweight) are a low foot with a raised circular pontil, in the style seen
on many Monart vases.
Yellowed glass indicates 1940s
period. UV tests confirm pre-Caithness.
