COMPETITIONS

All competitions are governed by the Competition Bylaws (latest edition on the Web April 2002), a copy of which may be obtained from your club secretary, or from the OBA Secretary or viewed on the OBA web site. Please note: No smoking in any county events; EBU regulations apply in events in which non OBA members may play. OBA membership should be paid before entering any OBA competitions. This is currently £3 per annum and was due on 1st April 2002.

At the January OBA Committee meeting, and after consultation with members it was agreed that cash prizes for OBA competitions be replaced by a permanent memento. Entry fees, and accommodation expenses will continue to be paid for the Pachabo & Corwen qualifiers.

Subject to there being sufficient entries parallel streams, restricted to Bridge for All students, and beginners with fewer than 200 local points, will be organised for County competitions 3,4,5,6, and 7.

Entry Procedure

Enter by completing the entry form and sending it to the appropriate competition secretary, TOGETHER WITH THE ENTRY FEE.

Entries for county competitions 5, 6,7 and 8 must be made by completing the appropriate entry form and sending it WITH THE ENTRY FEE to the Tournament Secretary, Bill McCarthy, at least 7 days before the event. Entry fees for these include the cost of tea (sandwiches, cake etc).
