Here is our winter programe for 08/09, as agreed at our AGM held at the end of November.
1st January 09 - New Years Day Walk
As in recent years, we will have a New Years Day walk somewhere in the Chiltern Hills. Meet at Geoff's place in Berkhamstead at 10-00am (sharp). Expect a pub lunch and mince pies when we get back, we wouldn't want to go hungry at this time of year. Contact Geoff for further details.

Easter Weekend - Walking from Boggle Hole YHA
Contact Mark T. if you would like to be included in our group booking at Boggle hole for Easter Friday/Saturday/Sunday (April 10/11/12). Boggle hole is right on the coast at Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. Because of the travelling distance, it is likely that some of us will wish to extend the stay one side or other of the Easter weekend, or to stay a night or two somewhere on the way up or down the country. Since hostels are usually fully booked for Easter, we need to get our group booking for the core Easter weekend secured as soon as possible, bednights each side of that can be booked individually. Should be a good trip, with a choice of coastal walks and/or walking on the North Yorkshire Moors.
Saturday 25 April - Fitting out Day
Help will be needed to prepare a Wayfarer for the sailing season and get the boat onto its mooring at Paglesham. Once that is done, we gather in the village hall for a meal (probably from brought in from a takeaway since we are not allowed to do serious cooking in the hall) and a social evening, probably with a show of members photos. Nothing new about that, but enjoyable nethertheless. Come to help with the boat launch, or just for the social evening, as you wish. New members welcome, as at all our events.
