Housing Strategy |
|
Ringmer Parish Council |
|
The Ringmer Housing Strategy when approved will, like the Ringmer Employment Strategy (approved 2006) form part of the Ringmer Village Plan (approved 2003). These policies should inform the Lewes District Council Local Development Framework that is now being developed and which will develop policies and allocate development sites in Lewes District to cover the next 20 years. The Lewes Local Development Framework must of course accommodate national needs for more housing as well as local views. The Ringmer Housing Strategy draft reflects views expressed in the village survey that formed the basis for the 2003 Ringmer Village Plan. Features of the draft Housing Strategy include:
The suitability or otherwise of particular candidate sites for development is also relevant. |

Consultation on Ringmer Parish Council's Housing Strategy The above document sets out the Council's ideas on how residential development should be planned for the period up to 2026 and copies can be seen by clicking here, in the library or seen at the Council Office in the Village Hall. When finalized the Council will seek to get it incorporated within the documentation supporting Lewes District Council's wider Local Development Framework that covers development across the whole District. Please do make every effort to participate as we want the strategy to be fully representative of local opinion. |
