2. Click on the File Menu and select Configurations:

3. Select Default (or the name you have given your BT Internet configuration) and select Duplicate.

4. Enter the name of the configuration as Free Dialler and press OK.

5. Select Free Dialler and click on Make Active:

6. Enter the phone number as appropriate:
Modem Users: 0800 731 7963
ISDN Users: 0800 731 7964
Enter your own primary e-mail name and password.

You have now created an 0800 connection.
Using The Free Dialler
When you wish to connect to the 0800 access number you will have to activate the free dialler. To do this you have to go back into the Apple Menu, Control Panels and Remote Access (or PPP) as described above.
Click on the File Menu and Configurations again, and select Free Dialler Click on Make Active. This will then allow you to connect with the 0800 number.

An alternative to this is using the Control Strip which most newer Apple Macintosh systems come pre-installed with.
Simply click on the Telegraph symbol, select Free Dialler, then press Connect.
