Q. Do I have to be a BT customer to get a BT Surf package?
A. Yes. BT Surf packages are only offered by BT.

Q. I thought BT SurfTime (one of BT's Surf packages) is a BT product, but I have now seen it offered on other non-BT ISPs.
A. SurfTime is a BT customer pricing package for Internet calls which does not include Internet access, for which participating ISPs may make an additional charge. BTinternet is a participating ISP and is offering both the free Internet calls (evenings 6pm – 8am and weekends) as well as access for an additional £4 a month (effective from 1st August 2001 the BTinternet monthly subscription for Surf packages will increase from £4.00 to £5.99).
