I have chosen the BTinternet for BT Surf packages option but I am still paying for access during the flat fee internet access periods (6pm Friday - 8am Monday and weekday evenings 6pm-8am). Why do I have these call charges?
To take advantage of the flat fee internet access rate you will need to register for a BT Surf Package. If you have not done this but have only registered for a BTinternet for BT Surf package, you will be charged on your telephone account for your Internet calls at local call rate. If you have already registered for a BT Surf package and you are being subjected to extra call charges during weekends and weekday evenings, you could be using the wrong access number. You need to use different access numbers/dial-in software depending on whether you are accessing the Internet during weekdays or during free access times.
