Dial-in software for BTinternet customers If you would prefer to set up your connection manually please click here. If you are looking for BTinternet access numbers click here. Please note: It is very important that you use the correct dial-in software for the BTinternet package to which you subscribe. Using the wrong dial-in-software may result in call charges for which you will be liable. To install the software, click on the icon for your BTinternet package. When asked, select 'Run this program from its current location'.
BTinternet Anytime
BTinternet has now withdrawn its 0800 number access. Therefore all customers previously using 0800 evenings & weekends dial-in software need to download the new Anytime dial-in software by clicking on the icon below. Please note: this does not apply to Surf package or Pay-as-you-go customers.

BTinternet Pay-as-you-go
BT local call rates are 4p per minute Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, 1.5p per minute Monday to Thursday 6pm to 8am and Friday 6pm to midnight, 1p per minute midnight Friday to midnight Sunday, 1.5p per minute midnight Sunday to 8am Monday All of the above diallers can be used for 64K ISDN but will not work for 128K dual-channel connections. Instructions for installing the software[These instructions use the Pay-as-you-go dial-in software for illiustration purposes] 1. Click on the appropriate icon above to start the software download. 2. Click on Run this program from the current location and ok.
3. A Security Warning box will appear; click 'Yes' to continue with the installation.
4. When this is done you will see the screen below. Click on OK to complete the first stage of the process.
5. You will see one or two of the four icons below (depending on which service you subscribe to).
6. The first time that you click on the icon(s) you are requested details of your username and password. For the purpose of this guide I shall use BTinternet Pay-as-you-go. The same process applies if you were to select BTinternet Anytime or BTinternet Surftime. 7. Run the file by double-clicking the icon . 8. If you have more than one modem installed you will be presented with a similar screen to the one shown below. Please select the modem you would like the dial-in software to use from the list.
9. To update your BTinternet e-mail click yes.
10. When setting up the dial-in software you have the option of making one of the connections your default. If you are mainly going to use the Free Call access then you should make this your default connection. Where the 0808 number is already set up as your default you will not be presented with this screen.
11. You will then see the next screen. Enter your username and password in the fields. If you wish, click the Save password box so that the program remembers your password for next time. Note: To keep your password secure, the password will appear as asterisks. Click 'Connect' to log on to BTinternet.
