How to upload (publish) your home page

If you are using an FTP program to upload your Home Page to BTinternet, you will need to know the following details:

The HOST NAME is: ftp.btinternet.com
The HOST TYPE (if needed) is: UNIX (standard)
The USER ID is: youremailname

Remember: You can use any (one) of your Multiple Mailbox names. The e-mail name chosen will form the URL, or Internet address, of your Website, so that if your chosen e-mail name is "joe.bloggs", your URL would be http://www.btinternet.com/~joe.bloggs/. Note that you should only enter the e-mail box name "joe.bloggs", not "joe.bloggs@btinternet.com". You must enter your e-mail name in lower case.

The PASSWORD is your: e-mailbox password. Remember that it is case sensitive.

Please note: As a security measure our server is configured in such a way that you must be connected to the internet using your BTinternet account in order to gain FTP access.
