When using WS_FTP for the first timeyou will need to set up a WS_FTP Session. This only needs to be done once, as the program will remember the settings.

To do this,

1. Open WS_FTP, a dialogue box will appear, this is to set up the Session Properties.

2. Fill in the boxes as in the example below, remembering to change the User ID and Password for your own.

3. Now click on Apply and then OK. You will now be connected to your web site and be able to transfer your files from the folder on your PC to your web site.

5. Click ChgDir and then in the box enter the directory for your web page on your PC. Click OK. Now highlight the files in the left hand box that you wish to upload and then click on the arrow that points to the left. Your files will now be uploaded.

If you wish to download any files, then highlight the files in the left hand box and click on the right pointing arrow. To delete a file simply highlight the file and click on the Delete button.
