CONSTITUTION

of the

Ellon & District Ladies Darts League
As at 12 September 2005

1.   The Annual General Meeting for both Winter and Summer Leagues will be held at the end of the Summer League prior to the commencement of the Winter league

2.  A quorum required for any meeting shall be one player per team plus Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer

3.  Meetings - Minimum of A.G.M. plus any Extra Ordinary Meetings if there is just cause

4.  There will be a levy of £5.00 for any team not represented at the A.G.M.

5.  Financial Report for both Winter and Summer Leagues at A.G.M.

6.  Minutes of previous meeting to be read and approved at A.G.M.

7.  Fees to be decided at A.G.M.

8.  Closing date for entries to League to be final - no submission - no place in League

9.  Team Fees to be paid within 8 weeks of commencement of League or £5.00 penalty will apply

10. Any team may call an Extra Ordinary Meeting if they have just cause to do so

11. Chairperson has casting vote at any meeting

12. Results of matches to be in by Monday following match or £5.00 fine will apply

13. Any disagreement between teams to be settled by Captains, unless rules are concerned, notice to be given for meeting to be called (Rule 2 to apply)

14. Dates for Knockout competitions for both Winter and Summer Leagues - first Monday after League has ended

Reserves will be allowed to play in Knockouts or Competitions if fees have been paid and providing they have played one game during the current season


 

16(a)  Knockouts to be played as follows:
          Doubles        -        1 Game         -        Straight Start       -        501
          Singles         -        1 Game         -        Straight Start       -        501
          In the event of a draw ( 6-6)     -        1001 to be played (in rotation
                                                                   regarding number of players)
16(b)  All other competitions including singles/doubles – 501 Straight Start

17. Times for Competitions:
     Arrival at 7.00pm - Draw (if required) at 7.15pm - Toe the Oche at 7.30pm
     Any entrants not on the premises by 7.15pm without explanation will be scratched from the competition
     Finals not started by 10.45pm for singles and doubles and 10.15pm for team games will be played on finals night

18. Times for Matches
     A minimum of 6 players should be present at the playing venue at 7.45pm – If any 6th member is to be late it should be noted that this must not be later than 8.15pm.  If further players are expected, their Captain should inform the other team Captain and agree a time they should arrive by.  It will then be at the Captain's discretion whether she enters their name(s) on the sheet or draws out reserves.  If the names have been put on the sheet and the player(s) have not arrived by the specified time then they will forfeit their games - both doubles and singles.  Play should commence at 7.45pm

19. Office bearers to be elected at A.G.M.

20.     Maximum of 16 teams in Winter League - Closing Date for entry - Summer League Knockout

21. Maximum of 16 teams in Summer League - Closing Date for entry - Winter League Knockout

22.     Cancellation of matches to be made no later than 6.00pm - or no re-match given

23.     Captains or Vice Captains to finish games in the event of a player leaving during match due to illness

24.     All finals whether it be Knockouts or Competitions will be Best of 5 Legs

25.     A.G.M. to be held in Ellon

26.     Cancelled Games must be re-arranged within one month and played within six weeks with opposite team to the team which cancelled the match giving two replay dates.  If none of these dates can be agreed, the team which cancelled should forfeit the points and the opposite team would gain the two points for the match only.  If the end of the league is near at the time of cancellation the game must be played by the time the last cup match has been played to enable Secretary to have trophy’s engraved etc on time for presentations.
