Summer League Singles

Rules 2008


1. The competition will be run from 12.05.08 to 28.07.08

2. Entry fee will be £ 3 for first night (12.05.08) then £ 4.00 per entry. Players who enter on the night of previous week's competition will receive a discounted entry of £ 3.00.

3. The competition will be a weekly knockout singles league (bracket draw)

4. Points will be awarded as per - 2 point for each win, bonus points will be awarded as per winner 4pts, r/up 2pts, and semi-finalists 1pt. 2pts Bonus points will also be awarded to every player who plays in at least one match per night. Players who have entered the competition in week one and are required to attend Aberdeen Darts Association AGM (19.05.07) will be awarded 2 bonus points. Players attending AGM must inform Aberdeen Darts Enterprise before date of AGM to qualify for bonus points

5. Weekly winner will receive £50 excludes finals night. Finals prize money will be allocated from entry fees.

6. 1st players name on draw to bull up to decide who throws first
Players who receive a bye in the first round must be available to mark the board then losers to mark

7. Top 16 available players will be invited to play in the final nights competition if any of the top 16 players are unavailable to play on finals night all qualifiers will be moved up the rankings and player/players sitting in position 17th / 18th etc, will be invited to play in the top 16. Players who are unavailable for finals night will forfeit all prize money.

8. If there is more than 1 or more player ties for the 16th position there will be a straight knock-out competition (bracket draw) involving all players tied for 16th place

9. On finals night players will be seeded as per league place i.e. 1 v 16 if any players are tied on the same league position a draw will be made to ascertain players seeding

10. Games will be played 5 legs of 501 straight start, Semi will be played best of 7 legs 501 & final will be best of 3 sets 5 legs 501 last leg must be won by two clear legs if score reaches 5 legs each in final leg tie breaker will come into affect one leg of 501 (bull up to decide who throws first) will be played to decide the winner

11. All players who do not qualify for the top 16 places who have played in 60% of the competition will qualify to play in a consolation competition (straight knock-out competition (bracket draw) best of 5 legs 501.

12. The organisers reserve the right to refuse or expel any player from the competition at anytime no reason need to be giving.

13. The organisers of the event reserve the right to change the above rules at any time.
