Technical mountaineering in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru
Artesonraju is a beautiful wedge shaped snow peak in the famous Cordillera Blanca of Peru, with the magical height of 5999m. It is a challenging climb for those with some previous experience of winter or Alpine climbing. We are offering an ascent of this peak in combination with Tocllaraju (6034m).
Our expeditions to the Cordillera Blanca are based in the town of Huaraz situated at a height of 3000m at the foot of the mountains. We will make a short acclimatisation trip into the Cordillera Blanca before separate mountain trips to the two main objectives of this expedition. There will be opportunities to do some trekking and/or to climb one or two lower or less technical peaks during this first phase of the expedition.
