This expedition will be based in Santiago, the capital city of Chile. We plan to climb several peaks of up to 5500m in the Loma Larga range above Baņos Morales. Here we wil climb mainly on rock ridges on such peaks as Meson Alto and Loma Larga itself. After a brief rest in Santiago we will go on to the remote Juncal 5950m near the Argentine border, to attempt this rarely climbed big peak.
Peaks in the Loma Larga are about Alpine PD or AD in standard and Juncal also involves a little more technical climbing. This expedition is suitable for those with some previous experience of Alpine mountaineering and previous experience at high altitudes would also be an advantage.
