One of the worlds biggest descents - coming down from Volcan Ollague
We have no plans to schedule this trip in the year 2002, but could run a private trip if there was sufficient demand.
In 1992 we pioneered mountain bike trips to the Andes and now after an absence of a few years we're bringing one back. This is the Screamer. A new itinerary based in the Atacama desert of northern Chile and offering some of the best scenery and the biggest downhills in the world.
Ever fancied taking your mountain bike up a real mountain? That's what we're offering here. Old mine tracks run to over 6000m on the mountains of Aucanquilcha 6176m and Ollague 5868m. These tracks will give us easy access to climb the peaks and then give us blistering descents of over 3000m in one day.
The scenery in this part of northern Chile is spectacular with great views of salt flats, sand dunes and steaming volcanoes. There is wildlife in plenty and we are sure to see llamas, flamingoes, vicunas and probably condors. This is a trip that should not be missed.
