Current Status...
A number of people have contacted me asking when this will be
available. Well, the basic game engine is complete. However,
the menus, intro and various options need a little touching
up. Also, the final graphics and music need to be decided
upon.
Unfortunately, I have not really got the time to do these little
bits of polish (like producing the intro animation, debugging etc.)
So I have put this game on hold for the indefinate future. I
DO intend to finish it one day, but I just cannot say
when it will be completed.
Introduction...
Remember the 1980's Disney film TRON? Well, there was a very
famous sequence of some 'light-cycles' speeding around trying
to kill each other. Well, this was made into a classic arcade
game, which was called Tron Lightcycles.
TRON 2000 aims to update this classic game for that Falcon,
making use of 16-bit graphics, DSP based tracker replay, and
DMA sound.

The Game...
Basically, you have to kill all
the bad guys who dont like you by trapping them with the laser
trail left behind by your light-cycle. Once they are trapped,
they'll have nowhere to go, and so will crash...
There are 11 rounds, and you must try to win over half of them
to win overall. There are currently 2 competitors - this may
be extended to 4 players before final release. Any of these
(except player 1!) may be computer controlled using a Fuzzy
Logic AI system.

Controls...
At the title screen, pressing any button either Joypad, or pressing
fire on joystick 1 will bring up a menu. Use UP/DOWN and FIRE to
navigate this menu. In the options menu, you can set which
joystick/pad controls your player, and whether Player 2 is CPU
controlled.
Once playing the game, UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT moves the player
in that direction. You cannot turn directly back on yourself
- ie. if traveling right, pressing left will have no effect.
At any time during the game, pressing 'P' on the keyboard, or the
Jaguar Controllers 'Pause' button will pause the game. Pressing
'Option' or 'Q' will quit the go, while pressing SPACE or any
fire/pause button will continue with the game.
