8 March, 2003 New version uploaded

I've uploaded a new 0.47 build, which removes almost all dependencies upon the deathmatch cvar, which hopefully will resolve the problem some people have seen with the load menu being displayed upon respawning.

2 November, 2002 Website move

This website is on the move again... currently on my ISPs webserver although maybe I'll organise getting my own domain again, but for now this is where you will be able to find me.

I've also updated the download links to the 0.46a version that I havent been able to upload to anthonyj.co.uk for some time.

For anyone wondering, yes, although I've released the source it is not GPL license compatible because the Eraser source is not GPL compatible (the NavLib source is not released), so code from EraserULTRA may not be used in a modified version of the Quake2 engine.

29 January, 2000 Other projects

Yes, I do have other projects underway, so development of EraserULTRA has slowed dramatically on my part - however, I may (repeat *may*) have time to come back and do some other things to it...

I have a Quake1 engine mod which I am working on (slowly) - this has no homepage as I dont yet know how far this will go.

I have already released my first Quake3 mod - Domination-Q3

Other projects are on-going, but I cant tell you about them...

23 December, 1999 New release

First of all, welcome to Scarface, who is now helping add code to EraserULTRA now. Secondly, on the downloads page you will find a version 0.4 - the changes in this version are:

As I have finally done some of the restructuring of the source code that has been planed for a long time (its still not as clean as I'd like, but it'll do) you will find a source code release also on the downloads page.

For those of you who are interested, I will be producing a Quake3Arena mod, no details yet, but watch out for it.

BeOS, IRIX, and MacOS ports will be done as soon as possible, however there is a slight delay on all three of these.

Finally.... this is probably my last update before Christmas, so - Happy Christmas everyone!

20 September, 1999 IRIX and Mac support

Richard Hess has been busy again - EraserULTRA is now available for SGIs running IRIX. You can download it from Richards own page or from my downloads page. Thanks Richard.

There is also now a Mac port, which is available here or again from my downloads page.

25 August, 1999 BeOS support

Another port, this time not done by myself, but by Richard Hess. He describes it as a public beta port, but it seems like its stable. You can get it (and more details) from Richards own page or from my downloads page. Thanks Richard.

15 August, 1999 No real news except Linux

Due to my system problems last time I didnt get the chance to build the linux version. I have succcessfully built a .so but I havent got the linux q2 installed atm, so its not tested... hope it works. You'll probably need to convert the text files to the UNIX LF format, and hope ya got unzip as its not a tar.gz

All development has... paused. Not stopped - I do intend to do more things with EraserULTRA, however other things are getting in the way at the moment, so I dont know when the next release will be (including UltraGUI). Sorry, but thats the way it is.

27 June, 1999 New version released, and news of UltraGUI

Yea, its that time again... I've been rather busy recently, so I havent much time to work on EraserULTRA... but I've managed to get some stuff finished enough to release:

Head over to the downloads page to get it.

Also on the horizon is a Windows front end specific to EraserULTRA. Yes, there are bot-launchers out there that support EraserULTRA, but I think something specific to it can make it that little bit easier to use and understand.... Check out the "stuff" page for some screenshots of a very early version (read 1 weekends effort).

Old news

I've archived previous news here as it was getting a bit big for the front page...
