Lab 2 Designing and setting up a web-page

To assist you a large number of links are available from this site.  Try -  web page toolson-line learnning linksHTML and Java There is a wide range of sites offering free web tools and tutorials available on the Web.

NOTES:

You can use Netscape Composer to design your web page.  Although you can work in HTML it is not essential that you do for this unit. You will find that using Netscape Composer as an editor will produce the required HTML code for you. (it is available in the Resource Centres)

However the techno-buffs amongst you may like the challenge of learning HTML and many links are available on the home page to help you.  Be warned though! raw HTML is not for the light hearted.

Complete your page by March 1st 2000 and provide files on disk for FTP'ng onto an ISP site.  The useful links contains links to sites that provide between 10 and 50Mbyte of free web space for you launch your web site.  As this will be on the web it is your site to maintain after unit 4 is completed.

You will be introduced to a range of scripting code that will meet some of the evidence requirements for Unit 2 Software.
