Welcome to the Groups page. Here you will find information on the activities of the various Groups which meet both within and outside the church.
Baby Comes
Too was started in Autumn 2010. We started with just 3 mums and little ones and
this grew to 15 mums on our books plus their children. In the winter we were
averaging about 10-12 parents at each session.
Baby Comes Too is a drop in session for parents/carers to chat and get to know each other, with toys for the children to play with, songs to sing and music to listen to. We run with a donation of 50p per session. We meet on Thursday mornings in term time from 9-15am to 11-15am. This means parents/carers can come straight from the school run and leave in time for pick ups.
The mums have given us positive feedback and we act on any useful suggestions.
We have a dedicated rota of church people, who set up and clear away for the sessions and make the drinks and snacks. They also chat to the parents and play with children. The atmosphere is low key, allowing the parents to chat and get to know one another.
The Visions House Group was born out of our First ALPHA course.
The Group meets on Tuesdays in the home of one of the Group's members, who leads that evening's study.
Over past years we have looked at:
| Women of the New Testament | |
| The Book of Revelation | |
| A journey through Advent | |
| Faith Hope & Love |
The format of our evenings is:-
| A period of prayer, bible reading and study | |
| Split into small groups and discuss points raised in the study notes |

We
have two lively and interactive
Bible study groups which gather together for
fellowship and study each Wednesday evening at 8.00 p.m. and Thursday
afternoon at 2.00 p.m.
Each group uses a different programme of study
notes covering a wide range of subjects. However, in both, the ensuing discussions are varied
and interesting and often go off at a tangent but always come back to the
main points having learned quite a lot on the way!
There is a lot of sharing within the groups and
everyone has a voice, and although we may not always agree, we respect and
uphold each other’s confidences and opinions.
We find ourselves in an empowering environment
in that members of the group are encouraged to take turns in leading the group
in the hope that they will in the future lead groups of their own.
The door is always open to others who would
like to come along.
