RSGB published the new DDK2001 article in the September Radcom.
The 2001 replaces the old DDK001 L band RF source
Professionally made, silk screened, PTH, silver plated PCBs are now available
at 6.00UKp each.
The PCB mask for the 2001 is available on the RSGB web site for those who want to make
their own.
The new design now features an external oscillator input/output
so that you can connect your favourite stabilised OCXO,
DFS or PLL source. Alternatively, you can take the internal oscillator signal out to
feed an 'Reflock' board and bring the signal back in to phase lock
the on-board crystal oscillator.
Most of the parts can be obtained from Farnell, whilst the boxes are
available from G3NYK. BEC Distribution, Harrogate, have ordered a quantity
of the 1100 - 1200MHz filters and Quartslab have agreed to have a quantity of
96MHz crystals manufactured.
I have a limited number of 'short kits' available with filters suitable for 1080 to 1250MHz
approximately.
