• I received a GDI Memory Error what happened then?

  This problem was resolved with the Build 1812 release, however it may be necessary for you to rename your .SYN and .TDF files containing your tickets and syndicate entries.

• Will you be updating the user manual to reflect the latest changes.

  The user manual is now up-to-date to reflect the current operation of the software.
   

• Will you be including support for Lottery Extra?

  Support has been added from Build 1800.
  

• I see the following error message when I start the Lottery Program.

  The LOTTERY.EXE file is linked to missing export WININET.DLL:InternetCheckConnectionA

  • The problem is related to an old Wininet and associated DLL's installed on your system.  Microsoft provide the latest update within their Internet Explorer software.  IE5, updates and upgrades your operating system and unfortunately Microsoft currently do not supply these DLL's as a separate upgrade.  Please note, if you are upgrading to IE5 for the first time and experience problems, Microsoft offer 90days free support.  For more information please contact Microsoft.

• When I try to download the latest results, the software still shows me results that are weeks out of date.

  • This problem relates to your Internet Caching options you have selected in your Internet settings.  See section 3.10 of the Lottery user guide for details on how to resolve this.

• Whilst downloading the latest results I get the following or similar error message:-

  LOTTERY caused an invalid page fault in module LOTTERY.EXE at 0167:0040aae5.

  • This problem was due to a coding error in the software and occurred when the lottery results were not fully available.  This has now been fixed in build 1750.

• I have downloaded the latest software patch, what do I do next?

  • You will need a utility such as Winzip to decompress the new program.  Now unzip the file to the folder/directory you installed the software.  The default is "C:\Program Files\Jason Brooks\UK National Lottery Ticket Checker"

  • A later version of the software may include the ability to upgrade itself automatically.
     

• The software keeps adding more winnings every time I check the results for the year.

  • This is because you are backdating the Member's numbers each time you press the check button.  (Refer to the manual regarding Member management.) 

  • The backdate feature is supplied to allow syndicates to check their winnings for up to a year in the past.  Once you have backdated your syndicate and pressed "Check results" The button will be grayed out, until a later set of lottery results are available.  When a new set of results are available then the Check button will be enabled and will add any winnings accrued from the last date the numbers were checked and the latests set of results it has downloaded.

• Can you verify the lottery result for date dd/mm/yyyy?

  • No.  I do not provide or guarantee the accuracy of the lottery results contained within the program.  The lottery results are obtained from Richard LLoyd at his Lottery Site http://lottery.merseyworld.com therefore please redirect these type of questions to Richard.  The lottery software is merely an internet client.
