The Bomber Command Memorial Website

One mans dream to pay tribute to Bomber Command through his hobby and interest in aviation. – Introducing the People’s Lancaster!

The Avro Lancaster holds special memories for the wartime crews who flew them.

To the people of the occupied countries they became a symbol of hope and of ultimate victory.

Interest in aviation comes in all sizes from the ordinary spectator to the aircraft owners and enthusiast.

My Lancaster Cockpit section is an example of preservation with a difference.

Resulting in 21ft of Aluminum and mostly kitted out with original Lancaster parts the Lancaster originally started life as a mere Pilots Panel.

After spending several years collecting parts with the aid of my friends worldwide the idea of a Lancaster Cockpit Section gradually began to emerge.

20 Years down the line the Lancaster Cockpit Section has now reached an ultimate climax in aviation preservation and the People’s Lancaster is here to stay.

Over the years the Cockpit section has been pride of many displays including Waddington Air show in 1997, and War and Peace Show a Beltring, Kent 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
