Buchan Heritage Players The Buchan Heritage Players were formed in Dec 2006 to promote the playing and singing of traditional music in the Buchan Area of North East Scotland. The group is open to all musicians and is particularly aimed at encouraging everybody of all musical abilities to enjoy and play traditional music. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in Longside Parish Church Hall at 19-00 until 21-00. The first 45 minutes of our practice is to introduce the tunes at a slower pace for the youngsters (no upper age limit !) to learn. At present we have Fiddlers, Accordionists, Keyboard, Piano, Guitar, Banjo, Mandola, Ukelele and Bodhran. Sheet music will be provided. Check out our tune page to see some of our music sets. These can be downloaded in PDF format. We are also supported by the Buchan Heritage Society. If you would like to join us, find out a bit more information or book us for some traditional Scottish entertainment, feel free to telephone Liz or John on 01779 821631. Alternatively you can drop us an e-mail
