The Tifty Ceilidh Band

The Tifty Ceilidh Band have been on the go now for a number of years and provide a great nights entertainment with traditional and some of the more obscure ceilidh dances incorporating Scottish, Irish and American music. The band formed eight years ago and came up with the name TIFTY which is a small community in the Fyvie area where several of the members stay. There’s Paul Begg on fiddle and Bass guitar, Liz Campbell playing piano accordian, keyboard and vocals, Johnny Keenan with the acoustic guitar, mandolin and 5 string banjo, John Morrison puffing away on the highland bag pipes, small pipes, Northumbrian pipes and various whistles, keeping everyone in time is Bruce Rankin on the drums and also occasionally John Slaven on second and harmony fiddle.  And last but not least the most important members Mark and Sandy Graham the sound engineers who makes sure the whole night runs smoothly from start to finish!  With this quality line up of musicians and instruments, they create a superb ceilidh sound for dancing to. Don’t worry if you don’t know some of the more unusual dances as the band will "call" the dances and take you through it step by step before they begin.
