Whistledown......... Not a N.E. band but based in Perth, Tayside, the first band I ever played with. If you've never heard them it’s your loss! They are a 4 piece folk band based in Perth, Tayside, that are very under estimated in their talents. There’s Roddy Ross..... Front man, ( plenty of stories, jokes and crack) vocals and playing various penny whistles, electronic bag pipes, "Real" Highland Bag Pipes, Bass Guitar and Acoustic 6 string Guitar, Neil Campbell on lead rhythm 6 String Acoustic Guitar, Bruce hope on Mandolin, Bass guitar and percussion and Fiona Campbell on Fiddle. They have released 2 cassettes over the years. The first one is called "THE ALE IS DEAR" (now available on CD) named after a fine West coast fiddle tune. The Second cassette is called "EXILES" which contains a few traditional tunes and several songs written by the band themselves.
