About Me

Although born in Gosport in Hampshire my early years from age 1 to 15½ were spent in Newcastle Upon Tyne and as such I do consider myself to be a Geordie.

From 1970 -1995 (25 years) I was an aircraft technician in the Royal Air Force visiting many places which included 2 tours in Germany.

From 1995 - 1999 I worked in MoD as a Quality Manager and Service Delivery Manager for the RAF St Athan IT Department.

Whilst at school and throughout my RAF career I played Tenor Horn in brass bands

but my main hobby whilst in the RAF was Sub-Aqua diving with over 200+ dives including wreck and ice dives and rising to advanced diver grade.

Whilst working for the MoD I was introduced to flying radio control aircraft where I rose to be a club instructor and Club Chairman.

Since 2006 my main activity outside of work has been the bands I have been or currently involved with - check out my bands page

From 1999 - Present: Working for Legal & General in Cardiff, first of all as a Quality Consultant within the IT department and currently as Programme Office Manager for Legal & General  Investments.
