Brass Bands
I have been actively involved in some sort of music for as long as I can remember, such as
- Bugle/trumpet player with the Air Training Corps
- School brass band - Tenor Horn
- Newcastle Upon Tyne City school orchestra - Tenor Horn
- Royal Air Force - various station bands - Tenor Horn
Bass Guitar
I first picked up a bass guitar in the early 70’s but didn’t stick with it as I had more important things to do such as my apprenticeship and girls and it wasn’t until about 2001 that I decided I had enough of brass and wanted to play bass and so I bought myself a package deal of guitar and practice amp and practiced in the dining room by playing along to my favourite rock CD’s.
Then in 2006 some of us at work thought we would surprise our colleagues by playing a few numbers at the summer ball - did the one gig but went down a storm and the bug for live performing bit - since then I have played with
