This is the Royal Observatory.The vertical
red line on the building behind the man in the rain coat
is the actual Meridian Line.It is marked across the court
yard floor where the person with their back to you is
standing with one foot placed East & West of the
line. In front left people are looking out toward the Dome through the telescope set along line of site of the Meridian Line. |

In through the glass door is a white block with a slot in it marking the MeridianLine.Above on the wall is an electronic clock counting down the hours. |
