................In a Double, if in error a bet is put on and only 1 selection is written on the betting slip, then it will be settled as a single win on that selection. So too in a Treble, if only 1 selection is written on the slip. If a Treble is the instruction and only 2 selections are written, then it will be settled as a Double. (BASICALLY, THE MISSING SELECTION OR SELECTIONS ARE TREATED AS NON-RUNNERS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THIS FOR MORE COMPLICATED BETS LATER ON.)
................An Accumulator is in fact an accumulative bet on any amount of selections from 1 upwards. The stake goes on the 1st selection and if it wins then the resulting returns go onto the 2nd selection, then these returns go onto the 3rd and so on. All selections must win to have a return.
All above can be bet Each Way (2 Bets), eg. EACH WAY TREBLE = ONE WIN TREBLE (all 3 must win) AND ONE PLACE TREBLE (all 3 must be placed). ( If two win and the other is placed, then all three are deemed to be placed for settling purposes.)
