6. Pontefract Trench.  This can be seen north of the figure ‘10’ on the map below. It goes east-west across a sunken road

10. The point where the narrow guage railway crossed the road from Noreuil. It can be seen as point 10 on Neil’s map, and on the detailed map below it is the point a little left of the red crayon where the two cross.

On the map above York Support trench is just in the bottom right corner. My grandfather’s battalion were in this at one point on 21st March.
