The Isle of Arran and Bute
Arran alluded me for years, having missed the ‘window of opportunity’ whilst still at school. Visited and admired by just about everybody, I only managed to make my first visit in 2003.

Likewise I visited Bute in 2004 to find breathtaking views across to Arran, lush arable farmland and wonderful Victorian iconography in the Town of Rothesay.
