The
Isles of Orkney
This northern archipelago of islands is very different to the Western Isles – not as rugged and much more arable. Farms dot the horizons and the Island hosts busy harbours. I love the character of the sandstone buildings with their giant slabbed roofs, coloured by lichen - yellowed and weathered.
