Over July and August, for 4 weeks, I manage my exhibition at the Gallery An Talla Dearg, Isle Ornsay, and whilst painting, I enjoy the comings and goings of friends, the locals and tourists from all over the world. I started exhibiting here in 1991 and it's become a bit like a home from home. The exhibition has become bigger each year with a huge amount of preparation and planning involved.
For the last few years I have brought my four dogs (now three sadly) and we have "camped" by the shore at Camus Cross. The dogs have become quite a feature in the gallery and have caused a bigger stir than my paintings! We continue to be made to feel "at home" by our neighbours and this year have a taken up a more permanent lodging. |
