Shoe Laces

As many children with an autistic spectrum disorder have dyspraxic tendencies - activities involving co-ordination can be difficult. One major headache is tying shoelaces. Here are two suggestions which may help.

ANOTHER WAY ………

Use a large toggle off a coat drawstring

Feed one long lace through shoe and then through toggle and out again.

Tie ends of laces together (knot or sew)

So that you end up with a continuous loop. Allow enough spare lace for the toggle to be loosened for putting shoe on . Push toggle down to hold shoe tight
