A 9xgreat grandmother of mine was Catherine Beswick, daughter of William Beswick Esq., of Horsmonden and Spelmonden, co. Kent. She marred Richard Drury at St. Dionis, Backchurch, on 26th April 1601, and had five children: my 8xgreat grandmother, Etheldred Drury, William Drury of Earith, co. Huntingdon, Rachel (b. 1607, m. Richard Tulle of co. Kent, gentleman), Catherine (b. 1611) and Richard (b. 1614). She died on 27th March, 1630, and was buried at Horsmonden. Her Will was proven at the PCC (34 Scroope).
