A 7xgreat grandmother of mine was Elizabeth Dewce, who was baptised in 1685/6 at Abdon, Shropshire, and married Richard Millichap in 1708 at Abdon. She was the daughter of John Dewce and Elizabeth (née Smyth), who were married at Caynham, Salop, in 1672/3 and had six children: Mary, Ann, Abraham, John, Elizabeth, and William.
John was baptised in 1653 at Abdon, the son of Abraham Dewce and Anne (maiden name unknown), who married c. 1650 and also had six children: Mary, John, Anne, Abraham, Richard and William. John died in 1727.
John's father, Abraham, was baptised in 1621/2 at Abdon, the son of Isaac Dewce and Judith (maiden name unknown), who also had six children: Joyse, Richard, Joane, Anne, Abraham and Thomas. Abraham died in 1668.
Isaac was baptised at Abdon in 1583, but the register does not record the name of his parents. He married Judith c. 1613. Judith died in 1640, and Isaac died in 1661.
