A great great great grandmother of mine was Mary Farmer. She married Thomas Robinson in 1823 in Lydbury North, Shropshire. Mary was born in 1797 in Lydbury North, the daughter of George and Mary Farmer. Mary emigrated to Melbourne, Australia with her husband, Thomas, and three of their children in 1852, but Thomas died about 2 months after arrival. Mary died in 1878 in Australia, aged 81.
George Farmer was baptised in 1752 at Wentnor, the son of Thomas and Martha Farmer. He married a Mary - I believe this to be Mary Whittall, married 1788 at Ludlow, though I am not absolutely certain. They had children Martha (baptised Ludlow, 1788), Winifred (Norbury, 1790), George (Norbury, 1791), Thomas (Lydbury North, 1793), John (Lydbury North, 1795), Mary (Lydbury North, 1797), Richard (Lydbury North, 1800), Nathaniel (Lydbury North, 1802), Anne (Lydbury North, 1804). George died in 1825, aged 73, and his wife Mary died in 1832, aged 70, both being buried at Lydbury North.
George's father, Thomas Farmer, was probably baptised in 1700 at Wentnor, the son of Thomas Farmer and Mary, though this would have made him 52 years of age at the birth of George, who was the youngest child, the others being John (1738), Martha (1744), Sarah (1746) and Thomas (1749), all baptised at Wentnor.
