Individual LessonsThe best way to learn the Alexander Technique is to find a teacher. Your teacher will be able to find a way of explaining the Technique that makes it clear for you, while at the same time using hand contact with your neck, head, shoulders and back to communicate an experience of the Technique at work. |

During the course of a first lesson, the teacher will want to discuss with you your reasons for wanting to learn the Technique, including any health concerns or medical conditions that have prompted you to come to see an Alexander Technique teacher. The teacher will then want to explain a bit about the Technique, before starting to do some practical work with you. At the end of the session the teacher will discuss with you the number and frequency of lessons that might be appropriate for you. Then will begin a course of lessons during which you will experience practical work with the teacher and be given guidance as to how to apply the Technique between lessons. Lessons are available at the Bloomsbury Alexander Centre in central London. All teachers are fully qualified and are members of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. |
