EPISODE I: The Hawk's Nest |
The Battle of Endor has been won. The second Death Star has been destroyed. The Emperor is dead. The Rebel Alliance has officially declared itself as the New Republic. But the war against the Empire is not yet over. The fleet has been scattered to the outer regions of the galaxy under the command of surviving Admirals. One of these Admirals, Stenard, hopes to gain control of the entire Imperial fleet and lead the campaign against the ' Rebels'. He hopes to gain the Emperor's secret ' Hawk's Nest' weapon. Nobody knows what this weapon is, where it can be found or even if it was completed. Even now Imperial troops and Stenard's hired smugglers are searching for vital information about the Hawk's Nest.
Across the galaxy the war against the Empire continues. The New Republic may be winning, but the Empire still controls had the worlds and systems. In the Kylos system the New Republic has recently won victory over two Imperial bases and is preparing their assault on the last Imperial outpost on Kylos V. However this base is under the command of no ordinary officer. One of the Emperor's most loyal servants is about to emerge, bringing with him the power of the Dark Side of the Force.
After the battle on Kylos V the Empire's hierarchy is in disarray. Admiral Stenard, who held greatest power, has been killed. The Dark Jedi Brysk has gained control of Hawk's Nest -- the Emperor's personal transport. However not all who were loyal to Stenard have accepted Brysk's leadership -- including the bounty hunter Shalorim. Brysk gained another prize from the battle -- the Force user Dren Solo was captured and has agreed to stay with Brysk and be taught in the ways of the Force. The Dark Jedi has other plans -- to corrupt is pupil to the Dark Side and its evil power.
The New Republic has recently dealt a strong blow to the Empire. During an attack on an Imperial base in the Kylos system Admiral Stenard, the most powerful commander in the fleet, was assassinated. The loss of this figure left the Empire temporarily paralysed and uncoordinated. The Empire has not been slow to recover. The other Admirals have been moving for position within the Empire's hierarchy. A conference is to the held which will reinforce the command structure and determine an effective strategy. The Republic realises the threat a unified Empire would pose and is taking action to locate the conference and extinguish the threat at its source.
The New Republic continues its fight against the Empire. One strong threat has emerged -- Brysk, one of the Emperor's Dark Jedi. With the Hawk's Nest under his command Brysk has led many strikes against the Republic's bases and ships. The Republic knows of one ship with tracking and sensor equipment powerful enough to counteract the cloak of the Hawk's Nest -- Slave I, the bounty hunter Boba Fett's ship. A team has been sent to get this ship, to retrieve it from Tatooine and the palace of Jabba the Hutt. One member of this team has his own private objective -- to rid himself of the corrupting influence of the Dark Side of the Force.
Since first meeting the Dark Jedi Brysk, Dren Solo has been troubled by the corrupting influence of the Dark Side of the Force. Realising the destructiveness of that path, Dren is returning to Kylos V, hoping to find rest and peace. However Dren does not know that he is been lured back to Kylos by that same Dark Jedi. Brysk is gathering all his available resources to strike back at those who are destroying his Empire. Kylos V is soon to the site of a battle which will determine the future of a young Force user, his friends and the New Republic.
The Dark Jedi Brysk has been defeated by the forces of the New Republic. Brysk's Imperial base on Kylos V is being dismantled. The machines and instruments of war with which his army what are being made safe, that they may no longer threaten the freedom of the galaxy. But the true threat Brysk carried was the Force and the source of this power lies undiscovered beneath his base. A nexus in the Force channelled the power of the Dark Side into Brysk. A servant of the Dark Side has been sent to Kylos V to recover this nexus, before its power is set loose uncontrolled.
