ZOE & KAT

Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) have had a rocky relationship ever since they entered the square. Zoe and Kat always use to disagree with each other, and have spiteful fights, but that soon changed when Kat revealed to Zoe her deepest secret.

Kat, revealed to Zoe, that she was her mum, and had Zoe due to Uncle Harry sexually abusing Kat. At the time this happened, Kat reveals no-one believed her, however when Kat reveals this, Kat's dad Charlie begins to understand. Harry offered Zoe the chance to go to Tenerife with him, and this made Kat lose her cool.

For the next few months, Kat and Zoe are separated. However, this brings them closer together. Zoe, lives on the streets, until she meets Roxy. Roxy seems friendly enough to Zoe and gives Zoe a bed, shelter, new clothes and food... for a price.

Roxy, wants Zoe to work as a prostitute, and Zoe instantly refuses. She runs from Roxy, and calls Kat to come and help her. Kat manages to meet up with Zoe, but collides with Roxy. After a couple of punches, Zoe is back under the safe arms of her mum Kat.

Zoe running away did have an effect on Kat too... Kat, whilst Zoe was at Roxy's took a lethal overdose, and was admitted to hospital.

Back in Walford after the happenings however, and Kat and Zoe are best friends again. Kat's ex, Anthony Trueman gets in the way of their happiness however. Dr Trueman, begins to see Zoe, and starts a romantic relationship with her. They even get engaged, but Zoe knows she cannot go through with it, and leaves the Doc in Scotland. Kat is relieved that Zoe has dumped her ex.

When the Doc returns though, he is back after his old flame Kat. After another relationship, which obviously annoys Zoe, the pair split. Kat also gets pregnant with Dr Truemans child, and is set for her second child when disaster strikes and she has a miscarriage.

Kat and Zoe though are mainly there for each other and help each other. The Slater sisters won't accept any trouble, and when one needs help, they all string along. But Kat and Zoe's relationship is the strongest.
