These are instructions for creating effective looking bases for an Undead army, in a similar way to the White Dwarf studio. I don't do green bases!
1. Cover your bases in flock. Any colour will do.
2. Either paint the flock black (for rocky bases) or brown (for earthy bases). The easiest way of getting the paint to cover the flock is by using an ink.
3. Drybrush rocky bases with a few shades of grey, and earthy bases with snakebite leather, then a mixture of snakebite leather and bleached bone, followed by a light drybrush of bleached bone.
4. Static grass is available from Games Workshop which can be stuck onto bases in small clumps. It looks better if you drybrush them with a bit of snakebite leather and bleached bone to make it look weathered instead of bright green.
5. For the rocky bases, a few stones from the garden painted black and highlighted look good.
