He probably transferred to Barnsley before 1895 where he played 104 games between 1898 and 1902.

The books (including Barnsley's official history) say he joined Barnsley in 1989 - but I'm not convinced. A  player called Greaves
played in goal for Barnsley St Peters (as they were) from at least 1895/96 when Barnsley were in the Midland League.

I reckon it's the same bloke, but that they have only recognised him from when Barnsley played Football League football.
