Hunters Bar 
1882-1884

During the 1880's, while playing their main matches at Bramall Lane or Sheaf House, Wednesday played reserve matches and the odd less important first team match at Hunter's Bar.

The press sometimes recorded the name of the ground as Robert's Farm which according to the maps could have been on the site of the present Hallamshire Tennis Club, or the Rustlings Road/Ecclesall Road chip shop.
The ground was most likely one of the fields which stood on what is now the recreation ground.
