Three Bridges Ladies began playing in 1981 as Horsham WFC. In their first season they won promotion to the 1st Division of the
Sussex Martlet League and reached the final of the Division 2 Cup.Their
original Headquarters, at the Needles Recreation Ground in Horsham, was
extremely basic and the following year the Club moved, first to
Broadbridge Heath and then to Three Bridges. Full
amalgamation with the Crawley men's Club prompted a change of name and
also saw an upturn in the club's fortunes.The Club were original members
of the F A Women's Premier League in 1991, but struggled to hold onto
their senior status for the first few seasons. |
