Info

Three Bridges Ladies began playing in 1981 as Horsham WFC. In their first season they won promotion to the 1st Division of the Sussex Martlet League and reached the final of the Division 2 Cup.Their original Headquarters, at the Needles Recreation Ground in Horsham, was extremely basic and the following year the Club moved, first to Broadbridge Heath and then  to Three Bridges. Full amalgamation with the Crawley men's Club prompted a change of name and also saw an upturn in the club's fortunes. The Club were original members of the F A Women's Premier League in 1991, but struggled to hold onto their senior status for the first few seasons.

Finally, in the summer of 2000, the club suffered a loss of players after the club was relegated from the Southern Division, and it was decided to disband the club.

Sunderland were founder members of the Women's National League, Division One, North in 1991 but were relegated after just two seasons.
Sunderland then played in the Yorkshire & Humberside League before the North East teams were ejected at the end of the 96/97 season.
Sunderland then moved to the Northern League for one season (probably!) before being founder members of the Northern Combination in 1998-1999. However in the 1999-2000 season they finished bottom and folded when BS Kestrels became Sunderland WFC.

Bristol Blackwell

Bristol entered the Women's National League in 1992 and survived for two seasons. In 1993-1994 the finished 3rd in Division 1 South. However they did not take up their place in the following season.

There is a suggestion that the club changed name to Bristol and joined the South West League, and then Old Abbotonians at the start of the 2001 season. This may be so, however there is a year gap between Bristol & Blackwell leaving the Women's National League and joining the South West League.
