Main road looking towards Howe Street and Great Dunmow, until the village bypass was built this formed part of the A130 Cambridge to Southend road. The house in distance in front of the woodland is one of the four lodge gates to Langleys. The field middle left is the village cricket ground and home of the local cricket club. The two houses in the foreground are Burtons and The Hoppit. The building with the roof lights was the village garage this has now been sold and demolished following the retirement of the owners. Three houses have since been built on the site, construction of which was completed September 2000.
